A 15-year run has come to an end.
The Camden Riversharks have ceased operations in Camden after the team failed to reach a lease agreement with Campbell's Field ownership, the club announced Wednesday.
The Camden County Improvement Authority bought Campbell's Field in April of this year.
"We would like to thank our partners and fans for supporting the club for 15 memorable seasons," the team said in a release. "We did everything we could to keep affordable, family entertainment alive and well in Camden."
With the Riversharks now out, Camden County officials may be looking to attract an MLB-affiliated farm team to Campbell's Field, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Campbell's Field has been the team's home since 2001, the Riversharks' first season. Campbell's Field, located on the Camden Waterfront in the backdrop of the Ben Franklin Bridge, was twice named Baseball America's Ballpark of the Year — 2004 and 2010.
The Riversharks, who played in the Independent League, celebrated its 15th anniversary this past season.

It is not yet known if the team will seek to relocate.
A team merchandise sale will be held at the ballpark Thursday through Saturday.
