If you've taken a look at the Phillies' 2020 regular season schedule since game times were released Tuesday, you may have noticed a change.
The Phils have only two Saturday home games all season with a start time after 7 p.m. — down from six in 2019.
When the Phillies are home for the weekend this season, all but two of their Saturday games begin at 4:05 or 6:05.
The exceptions are May 30 vs. the Nationals (7:15) and July 18 against the Angels (7:05).
No complaints here!
That Angels series is the Phillies' first after the All-Star break. It will (provided good health) be Mike Trout's second career series at Citizens Bank Park and the fourth time his team faces Bryce Harper's.
Surprisingly, Phillies-Angels will not be on Sunday Night Baseball the next night. Instead it will be Yankees at Cardinals. The Phillies are not currently scheduled to appear on Sunday Night Baseball before the All-Star break. The second-half Sunday night schedule is unknown beyond that July 19 Yankees-Cards game and the Little League Classic in Williamsport on Aug. 23 (Red Sox-Orioles).
