Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm made a strong showing in the National League Rookie of the Year voting, but not as strong as Milwaukee Brewers reliever Devin Williams.
Williams won the award, named for baseball pioneer Jackie Robinson, with Bohm and San Diego infielder Jake Cronenworth finishing in a tie for second.
Seattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis was the unanimous winner in the American League.

Results of the voting were announced Monday night on MLB Network.
Williams, 26, became the seventh relief pitcher to win the NL Rookie of the Year award and first to do so without recording a save.
The Milwaukee right-hander, owner of a power fastball and a baffling changeup, appeared in 22 games for the Brewers and allowed just eight hits and one earned run over 27 innings. He struck out 53 of the 100 batters he faced and walked just nine. In other words, dazzling numbers.
Williams received 14 first-place votes, six second-place votes and seven thirds to finish with 95 points.
MLB
Bohm received nine first-place votes, eight seconds and five thirds to finish with 74 points.
Cronenworth received six first-place votes, 12 seconds and eight thirds to also finish with 74 points.
Bohm, the Phillies’ first-round draft pick in 2018, arrived in the majors on August 13, 10 days after his 24th birthday, and hit .338 with a .400 on-base percentage in 44 games. He had four homers and his 23 RBIs were the most by any NL rookie.
Bohm did his best work with runners on base. He led the majors with a .452 batting average (19 for 42) with runners in scoring position. His on-base percentage with runners in scoring position was .519, third-best in the majors behind Juan Soto and Freddie Freeman.
Bohm really stood out in September. He hit .367 in the month and had 40 hits. Those were the fifth- and second-best marks among all big-leaguers in that month.
The Phillies have not had a rookie of the year since Ryan Howard in 2005. Three other Phillies have won the award — pitcher Jack Sanford in 1957, third baseman Dick Allen in 1964 and third baseman Scott Rolen in 1997.
Lewis, the American League winner, hit .262 with 11 homers and 28 RBIs for Seattle during the 60-game season. The Mariners selected him 11th overall in the 2016 draft, 10 picks after the Phillies selected outfielder Mickey Moniak No. 1 overall.
