Gregorius has big night with homer, two RBIs on minor league rehab

Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius began a minor-league rehab stint with Triple A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday night and came up big in the IronPigs’ 7-3 win over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Gregorius led off the game with a solo homer. He also had a base hit, a walk and a sacrifice fly to finish with two RBIs.

Gregorius played shortstop. He is expected to be back in the IronPigs’ lineup Wednesday night as the designated hitter.

Position players are allowed up to 20 days on a minor-league rehab assignment. Gregorius, who has been on the injured list for three weeks with a left knee sprain, is expected back quicker than that.
