The Phillies on Thursday signed Rutgers-Camden pitcher and South Jersey product Jeff Singer to a minor-league deal, the school announced.

During his senior season last year, the 6-foot, 195-pound lefty compiled a 4-3 record and 3.82 ERA in 13 appearances, 10 of which were starts. One of those 10 starts was a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over Montclair State on April 23. For his efforts, he earned New Jersey Athletic Conference First-Team honors at the end of the year.

After going undrafted in June, Singer, a Cinnaminson native who attended Holy Cross High School, made his professional debut with the Camden Riversharks in July. In 13 appearances with the Riversharks, he went 1-4 with a 5.25 ERA.
