NBA.com's John Schuhmann released his annual polling of NBA GMs and for once Philadelphia 76ers fans may be excited about some of the results.
When the franchise drafted Jahlil Okafor with the third overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, most believed Okafor to be the most NBA-ready talent, so it's no surprise that Jah is the favorite among GMs to take home the Rookie of the Year Award, receiving 44% of the votes. Karl-Anthony Towns (34.5%) and Emmanuel Mudiay (13.8%) round out the top 3.
But GMs don't love Okafor's ceiling as much as some other guys. When asked which rookie will be the best player in five years, Towns was the clear favorite with 62.1% of the vote. Okafor, Mudiay, and D'Angelo Russell all received 10.3% of the votes.
But Okafor isn't the only member of the Sixers organization making an appearance.
Brett Brown didn't crack the top 3 in "which coach is the best manager/motivator of people" question but he did receive a vote in that category.
And finally, when asked who is the best international player NOT in the NBA, GMs liked Dario Saric's game the most, receiving 28.6% of the vote. That's actually a slight drop from last year when he received 32% of the vote.
You can see which team GMs like to win Finals, which player will take home the MVP and much more right here.
