Joel Embiid reportedly receives warning from NBA for flopping

Well, it's hard to argue with this one.

After baiting Andre Drummond into his second technical foul and an ejection in the Sixers' overtime loss Tuesday in Detroit, Joel Embiid received a warning from the NBA for flopping, according to Shams Charania. The league also rescinded Drummond's technical foul, essentially admitting they made a mistake on the play that saw Drummond tossed with 42.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

You can watch the play here.

The play looks like like a textbook definition of a flop. To be fair to Embiid, Drummond appears to throw an elbow, but Embiid makes the most of minimal contact.

This should add even more fuel to an already heated rivalry between Drummond and Embiid. Sixers vs. Pistons on Nov. 3 at Wells Fargo Center is going to be fun.
