Last time Sixers beat a team this badly? Here's some fun perspective

The Sixers' 42-point win (116-74) over the Mavericks on Friday was the team's largest victory since it beat the Bucks by 43 points nine years ago on Jan. 30, 2008.

Just how long ago was that? Let's put it in perspective.

• The Sixers started Andre Miller, Willie Green, Andre Iguodala, Jason Smith and Samuel Dalembert against Royal Ivey, Mo Williams, Bobby Simmons, Yi Jianlian and Andrew Bogut.

• Iguodala led all players with 18 points. Reggie Evans scored 13 points with nine rebounds off the bench.

• Ben Simmons (born July 20, 1996) was 11 years old.

• The Sixers were a month removed from trading Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz.

• Sergio Rodriguez was in his second NBA season, playing for the Trail Blazers.

• The Phillies were en route to putting together a World Series-winning season.

• The previous night, Scott Hartnell scored the game-winning overtime goal to lift the Flyers over the Kings.

• The Giants were days away from beating the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

• Twitter was less than two years old.

• Apple was four months away from launching the iPhone 3G.

• "No One" by Alicia Keys was the No. 1 song on the Billboard top-100 charts.

• "Meet the Spartans" beat "Rambo" for No. 1 in the box office.

• "Breaking Bad" had debuted 10 days earlier.

... So yeah, that win was a while ago.
