SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Jazz point guard Dante Exum has injured his left knee while playing for the Australian National team. They were playing the Slovenia National team in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on Tuesday.

Exum was driving into the paint and came to a jump stop in the middle of the lane when his left knee buckled. He was untouched, but went down as he lifted for the shot.

The Jazz released a statement saying Exum was treated on site and will return to Salt Lake for further medical evaluation by the team's medical staff.

Exum was drafted by the Jazz with the No. 5 pick in 2014 and started 41 games. He averaged 4.8 points and 2.4 assists and was expected to make significant advances to his game this summer.

Spurs: Marjanovic will not play in EuroBasket tournament
SAN ANTONIO -- Boban Marjanovic of the San Antonio Spurs will not play for Serbia in the EuroBasket tournament this summer because of a left ankle injury.

The 7-foot-3 Marjanovic signed with the Spurs last month. The Spurs say tests, including an MRI, show he has "significant bony edema" that "compromises Marjanovic's ability to play basketball without compromising long-term health and future injury."

Marjanovic is a three-time MVP of the Serbian Super League. He averaged nearly 17 points and 11 rebounds per game in his most recent season playing for Crvena Zvezda.

The 26-year-old Marjanovic has been a pro since 2006.
