Bucks: Sanders close to extension
According to ESPN's Marc Stein (via ProBasketballTalk), the Milwaukee Bucks and center Larry Sanders are engaged in "advanced discussions" on a contract extension.

A relative unknown prior to last season, Sanders emerged as one of the game's premier shot-blockers in the 2012-13 season. After playing 12.4 minutes per game during the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season, Sanders clocked 27.3 minutes a night last season, racking up 2.8 blocks per game, a mark which ranked second behind only Serge Ibaka.

Per Stein, Sanders' new contract could pay out more than $10 million a year.

With quality defensive centers and shot-blockers at a premium, the Bucks could be wise to lock up Sanders before his value climbs any higher.

Bobcats: Jannero Pargo inks one-year deal
Jannero Pargo, whose younger brother Jeremy played for the Sixers last season, has signed a one-year deal with the Charlotte Bobcats, according to Chris Haynes of CSN Northwest (via ProBasketballTalk).

Pargo's deal with the Bobcats is worth $1.4 million, which is categorized as the league minimum. Since entering the league in 2002, Pargo has played for seven teams, including three (Bobcats, Hawks and Wizards) last season.
In 32 games last season, Pargo averaged 6.5 points and 2.1 assists.

Considering Kemba Walker and Ramon Sessions are locked into their spots on the Bobcats' depth chart, Pargo will be a reserve point guard who sees limited minutes.
