Nerlens Noel (knee), Jahlil Okafor (shin) ruled out vs. Heat

The Sixers will be shorthanded again against the Heat on Sunday.

Nerlens Noel (right knee) and Jahlil Okafor (right shin contusion) did not travel to Miami and will miss their second and fourth consecutive games, respectively. Nik Stauskas and Kendall Marshall also missed the trip because of upper-respiratory infections and will not play Sunday.

Playing with just 10 active players on the roster Friday, the Sixers fell behind early against the Heat before storming back and taking the lead in the third quarter. But the lack of depth bit them late in the game, as the Heat pulled away for a 112-102 victory at the Wells Fargo Center.

With the Sixers' two young big men out, veteran forward Elton Brand played his first NBA game since May 20, 2015, posting eight points and four rebounds. Brand provided a spark to help the Sixers overcome an early 16-point deficit in the eventual defeat (see story).

The Sixers have lost 11 straight games. They've also dropped their last four meetings with the Heat, including both matchups this season.
