According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Sixers have received permission to discuss their head coaching vacancy with Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown.
Brown also talked with the Nuggets on Sunday regarding their head coaching position and was a significant candidate in Denver's search process, according to Yahoo! Sports. That was until the Nuggets hired Brian Shaw as their new head coach on Monday, per the Associated Press.
Brown has been a bench assistant under Gregg Popovich for the past seven years. He was previously the team's assistant coach/director of player development dating back to 2002.
Before joining the Spurs, Brown coached for 14 seasons in the Australian National Basketball League.
