NEW YORK — The Sixers will continue to be shorthanded with only 10 players Tuesday against the Nets. Robert Covington, Jerami Grant and Richaun Holmes are out once again.
Covington and Grant are following the NBA concussion protocol after a collision last week. The Sixers do not have a definitive timeline for either player.
"Jerami will be out for a while to this weekend, we're not sure yet what that means," head coach Brett Brown said after shootaround.
As for Covington, Brown said, "He still has some symptoms from the concussion that through the NBA rules, you have to — in a serious way — recognize that, honor that, take care of him. So that is still very much up in the air."
Holmes is sidelined by a right Achilles strain. Brown does not expect him to play until the team's West Coast road trip, which begins next Monday.
Jahlil Okafor did not travel with the team because of flu-like symptoms. He is out for six weeks, which equates to the remainder of the regular season, with a small meniscus tear in his right knee.
Brown plans to utilize the players that are available in six- or seven-minute segments.

"I see it being done by committee," he said. "I see it being done by a group."
