MIAMI — The Sixers will reassess the injuries of Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor on Monday after the team returns from Miami.
Okafor suffered a right shin contusion last weekend against the Magic. He's missed the last four games, including Sunday night.
"It's just a significant bruise at this stage," coach Brett Brown said pregame Sunday. "It's not something that we're overly concerned with. We're going to learn [Monday] when we get back to Philadelphia. I don't expect him to be out very long."
Noel was diagnosed with a right knee contusion following Wednesday's game against the Hornets. He did not play Friday or Sunday.
"I don't really know [when he will play] but it's not anything that we think is going to be prolonged," Brown said. "It's not something that we think is going to extend much further than, we believe, what's already gone on."
Nik Stauskas and Kendall Marshall also stayed in Philadelphia with upper respiratory infections. Neither played Friday. The Sixers' staff felt it was best they didn't make the trip given the contagious nature of their illnesses.
"Nik felt like he could still be a part of it, maybe get into the game," Brown said. "The people that are responsible for keeping us healthy — the doctors, the medical staff, etcetera — felt like it was just reckless, it was irresponsible to bring him into the group."

Brown hopes the sidelined players will be able to go Wednesday against the Rockets.
"I think that we'll have four players available," he said. "Three of them for a long period were starters. We look forward to seeing them."
The Sixers have lifted the minute restrictions on Hollis Thompson (upper respiratory infection) and T.J. McConnell (shin).
On Sunday, they went with the same starting lineup as Friday's loss to the Heat: Ish Smith, Thompson, Robert Covington, Jerami Grant and Carl Landry.
