Mike Scott donated 600 meals to overnight staff at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in a parternship with Red Bull.

The Sixers forward quickly rose to fan favorite status in Philadelphia with his authentic, no nonsense, “I ain’t no b----“ personality. He signed a two-year, $9.8 million contract this summer and has averaged 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2019-20.

He joins several other Sixers who have made charitable contributions during the coronavirus pandemic. Joel Embiid, Shake Milton and Al Horford are among the players who have made donations. Ben Simmons launched "The Philly Pledge," which encourages donations to local nonprofit organizations to support coronavirus relief efforts.

The NBA season has been suspended since March 11, when Scott emphatically dunked over the Pistons’ Khyri Thomas. He’s been very visible off the court, though. Among his social media highlights has been an entertaining text message reveal in an Instagram Live with rookie Matisse Thybulle.
