The Temple Owls are about to tip off their first round game shortly after 3:00 p.m. against Iowa and the city of Philadelphia is ready to support them.
Notice I said the city of Philadelphia and not the Main Line. Temple is the Everyman Team. They're a bit easier to get behind than the Villanova Wildcats.
Yesterday we learned that they got the shaft when it comes to locker room accommodations -- working out of an "officials' closet" -- and today we learned that they travel in New York-style to their first round game, on the subway.
