Villanova head coach Jay Wright normally isn't one who's at a loss for words.
But seeing his two star seniors, point guard Ryan Arcidiacono and center Daniel Ochefu, kiss the Villanova logo on the Davis Center practice floor after their final practice there was a moment that almost left him speechless.
"I can't talk about it. That's why I'm wearing glasses," an emotional Wright, fighting back tears, said Wednesday as the Wildcats departed for this weekend's Final Four in Houston about the photo he tweeted.
It was an idea Arcidiacono said came courtesy of Ochefu.
"It was something pretty neat," Arcidiacono said. "Especially to see everyone on Twitter commenting about it. It was just big time."
That moment was all part of a huge on-campus sendoff for the Wildcats, one that Wright said he thought was bigger than when the team last made the Final Four in 2009.
"This is pretty crazy and I've never seen it before," Ochefu said. "This is the first time experiencing this kind of thing. It's great to see all of these people out here.
You can check out video from the sendoff below.
The national semifinal game between Villanova and Oklahoma is scheduled to tipoff at 6:09 p.m. on Saturday.
