
Opening Day Features Live Game Broadcast, Pre and Postgame Shows, and Viewing Party
PHILADELPHIA- (March 28, 2016) – During the 2016 Phillies season, Comcast SportsNet, The Comcast Network, CSNPhilly.com and NBC10 will provide comprehensive coverage across a multitude of platforms, with live game broadcasts, multiple news, talk and magazine shows, exclusive digital programs and analysis, and social media interaction on sites including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
CSN will air a record 145 regular season games, with TCN airing seven games, and NBC10 airing an additional 10 games. Broadcasters Tom McCarthy, Matt Stairs, Ben Davis and Gregg Murphy return for their second season in the booth, with Mike Schmidt joining them for home weekend game broadcasts. Before every game on CSN, TCN and NBC10, viewers can catch the latest team developments, game previews and opposing team analysis on “Phillies Pregame Live.” Following each match-up, Phillies fans get a game breakdown with stats and highlights, and a look ahead to the next game on “Phillies Postgame Live.” Other features include manager Pete Mackanin’s press conferences and reaction from the clubhouse. CSN will tap into former Phillies players Ricky Bottalico, Marlon Anderson and Tommy Greene for analysis during Phillies pre and postgame shows this season.
As the Phillies wrap up an exciting Spring Training, TCN will air two games featuring players from the Phillies major league roster competing against the Phillies top minor league prospects, many of whom are named on this year’s 2016 MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 Prospects list. The first game will be played at Reading and will air live on TCN on Thursday, March 31 at 6 p.m. The second game at Citizens Bank Park will air live on TCN on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m.

CSN is also inviting fans to a Phillies Opening Day Watch party at Xfinity Live! Pre-game festivities kick-off at 3 p.m., and features lots of Phillies personalities and fun activities to rally the crowd before the team takes on the Reds in Cincinnati at 4 p.m. on CSN. The hosts of “Breakfast on Broad,” - Rob Ellis, Jillian Mele, Barrett Brooks and Sarah Baicker will be on hand, alongside former Phillies Milt Thompson, Tommy Greene, Gary Matthews, the Phillie Phanatic and Phillies ballgirls.
Jim Salisbury (@JSalisburyCSN) and Marshall Harris (@MharrisCSN) team up for comprehensive Phillies coverage during the 2016 season.
