Eagles-Ravens: Can Birds Beat Another Green QB?

When UDel product Joe Flacco takes the field today, it will mark the fifth time this season that the Eagles face a quarterback with 10 games or less of NFL work under his belt. They've fared pretty well in most of the previous four, with three wins and... a... tie.

But coming off that latter debacle, none of us is sure which Eagles team Flacco will see today. Add to that the fact that he's been decent and the Ravens D is back to being pretty scary, and it could be another long day for Birds fans. Or, it could be their redemption song. I don't remember a time in recent years when the team has been as maligned as it is right now. That's not to say they don't deserve most of the criticism, but I don't think they're ready to call it a season yet by any stretch. Even if they miss the playoffs, no one on that sideline wants to finish last in the East for the second straight season.

Questions for the day:

  • Will the Eagles attempt more than 55 pass plays today?
  • Who will have more carries? Westbrook or Buck? It's definitely hard to split 13 rushing attempts...
  • How drunk will you be by the end of the first half?
  • Will student John Harbaugh go Steve Spags on his teacher, Jim Johnson?
  • How many passes will be dropped by the Eagles, who lead the NFL in the category?
  • How many sacks will be made by the Eagles,           "         "         "
