Harris English’s first PGA Tour title wasn’t accompanied by a U.S. Open berth. But the 23-year-old second-year Tour pro can take solace in this: He at least cracked the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time.
English, who birdied two of the last three holes to win the Fedex St. Jude Classic on Sunday, rose from 139th to 84th in the latest rankings, released Monday. Scott Stallings, who tied for second in Memphis, moved from 99th to 77th.
Joost Luiten, a winner on the European Tour, ascended from 137th to 96th.
