Flyers Rat Pack Take in Union-Galaxy Game

Share

While attending the Philadelphia Union v. L.A. Galaxy game last night in Chester, I used half time to head out to my favorite concession stand at PPL Park, Los Tacos (a bit of a hidden gem).

As I was walking through a crowd between the gate from the inside concourse area to the outdoor plaza, I brushed into someone by accident, looked up to say "excuse me," and noticed it was none other than Flyers star Claude Giroux. As I kept walking, I then noticed Dan Carcillo, Mike Richards, Ville Leino, and Jeff Carter. A regular old night on the town for the boys in orange and black.

Which got us to thinking: the last time we saw Jayson Werth as a member of the Phillies, he was at a Flyers game in some primo seats. Could the same be true for any of the Flyers who visited the Union last night? Carcillo and Leino's futures are certainly up in the air, but anything could happen to any player if the brass so chose. As you can kinda-sorta see in the below photo, Mike Richards' arm was indeed in a splint after surgery. We later learned from his Twitter feed late last night that his arm was in a cast as well when he tweeted, "Surgery was a success, little bigger cast than I expected but good job Dr. Culp."

Photos from the Horizon Services, Inc Facebook page. They are official Union sponsors it seems. Another here and here.
