
Just heard it reported by 610 WIP's Anthony Gargano that Jamie Moyer will return to the Phillies in 2009. A press conference is expected later this afternoon. We'll update this post as information regarding the terms of the deal become available.
Moyer looked a bit shaky in the playoffs but came through with a solid performance in the World Series. His presence at the end of the rotation still makes me feel a little bit better about the starting five.

Left-hander Jamie Moyer signed a two-year contract, Senior Vice President & General Manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. announced today.
Moyer, 46, went 16-7 with a 3.71 ERA in 33 starts for the Phillies this past season, leading the team in wins. He allowed three runs or fewer in 14 straight starts, from June 6 through August 21, becoming the first Phillie to do so since 1967.
