Rory McIlroy won't be bringing his recent hot streak to the Philadelphia area.

Comcast SportsNet has learned that the latest U.S. Open winner is not expected to play in next weeks AT&T National at Aronimink. A final list of competitors will be announced on Friday.

McIlroy is fresh off his dominant U.S. Open performance at Congressional where he won by eight strokes and broke the tournament scoring record by four shots. The 22-year-old became just the third player in U.S. Open history to break 70 in all four rounds on his way to claiming his first major.

The AT&T National gets underway on Thursday, June 30. It will be the second and final year the tournament is held in the area before moving back to Washington DC.
