While watching the Super Bowl commercial where all the iconic TV characters were made digitally into huge NFL fans (and quite well I'd say), I was waiting for the same thing you all probably were too: To see which character would be made the Eagles fan. Turns out it was Moe Szyslak, owner and bartender at Moe's Tavern. We got Moe?
Having watched the Simpsons for most of my life and knowing well the self-deprecrating, sexually desperate and depraved humor attached to the Moe character, it might have been a little more fitting to have Moe done up in a Ben Roethlisberger jersey. I don't remember any dogfighting in the back of Moe's, although there was that incident with the rare animal smuggling. It looks like they wanted to have Homer and Marge be the "divided allegiance" household, so there went the Steelers representative in the frame. And anyway, this wasn't an episode of the Simpsons, so I'm guessing most of the creative license in the short clip was handed over to the folks making the commercial. Video after the jump.
