NFL Draft 2020: Eagles fans lose it over Jalen Hurts pick

Share

Folks, it's hard to ease into this one: the Eagles took quarterback Jalen Hurts with the No. 53 pick on Friday, an absolute left-field pick from Eagles general manager Howie Roseman.

Eagles fans were eyeing players like pass rusher A.J. Epenesa, wide receiver Denzel Mims, or cornerback Kristian Fulton, all players at positions of need with the team's second pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Instead, Roseman opted for a QB despite having franchise quarterback Carson Wentz in place.

Fans... had some problems with the pick:

This is a different kind of outrage than the frustration fans expressed on Thursday night, when CeeDee Lamb went to the Cowboys at No. 17 and then Roseman selected Jalen Reagor instead of Justin Jefferson at No. 21.

Thursday night's outcry was a desire for a different player at the same position. This... is a fanbase utterly baffled by its general manager.

Roseman will have an opportunity to explain himself, but Birds fans are growing increasingly perturbed.
