Phils Send Golson and His Tools to Texas

For those holding their breath to see whether or when Greg Golson would make the big club for more than a cup of coffee, the wait is over. According to Rotoworld, the man with all the tools has been traded to the Rangers for John Mayberry Jr. RW's analysis:

So, in his first deal as a GM, Ruben Amaro Jr., a former major league
outfielder and son of a major league infielder, acquires an outfielder
who happens to be the son of a major league infielder. It looks like a
win to us. Neither Mayberry nor Golson figures to live up to his
billing as a former first-round pick, but Mayberry is less of a long
shot. He hit .263/.316/.474 as a 24-year-old in the PCL last season.
Citizens Bank Park would be quite kind to his power stroke if he can
reach the majors. OBP will remain a serious problem, though. He should
open next year back in Triple-A.

After the jump, Mayberry's top YouTube hit.
