Confirming much speculation as the trade deadline approaches, the Brewers will acquire Indians stud pitcher C.C. Sabathia. The Brewers were believed to have the best trade pieces available if they were willing to deal Matt LaPorta, which apparently they were.
The trade also likely takes Brewers SP Ben Sheets off of any trading block he may or may not have been on. The Phils will now need to focus on Erik Bedard and A.J. Burnett, among other names, to sure up their starting pitching in what's looking likely to be a second consecutive playoff year.
