Sixers Look Good in Win Over Toronto

Watching Andre Iguodala smile after throwing down a breakaway dunk giving the Sixers a comfortable lead can help ease the pain of a few recent loses. The Sixers looked like a much different team last night in Toronto with the offense clicking, led by the stellar play of Andre Miller.

Mo Cheeks said after the game that the defense was the difference but the offense running smoothly may have helped jump start the D:

"I really believe that the way we played the game on the defensive end
of the floor was the difference in the game. Whether it was our comfort
zone on the offensive end or whatever it was, I really believe the way
we played on guarding the screen-and-roll and the activity we had with
our hands resulted in us getting up and down the court on the offensive
end. I just think the way we played defensively on screen-and-rolls
made the difference in the game."

Elton Brand put in his best scoring effort as a Sixer and led the team last night with 25 points and said it felt good, "I got in the rhythm and got my shots. Like I said the coaching staff
has been working hard to make sure I am integrated into the team and
into the game. They tell me to go out there and play and everybody will
fit in with each other and that is what happened tonight. Defence first
of all got the win, it is not about offence."

Andre Iguodala was a board away from a triple double ending the night with 18, 10, and 9.

When this team is clicking like they were last night, they're fun to watch. National people were freaking out about the slow start in Philly but I think if you give this group some time to mesh together they should be able to compete. Plus, this is the NBA we're talking about, half the league makes it to the post-season.

I'll tell you what, Andrea Bargnani looks like quite the baller in some of these highlights. Might have to push for Ed Stefanski to deal for this guy so I can get a Bargnani jersey to match my Sbisa Flyers jersey I told Matt I'm going to order.
