The Soul have brought back Mike Brown in a trade with the San Jose SaberCats in exchange for future considerations.

It's great to add a fan favorite and champion to the roster, said Soul head coach Mike Hohensee. Mike Brown has always been a play-maker in this league. His experience and leadership will have an immediate impact on our football team.

Brown, a wide receiver, defensive back and kick returner, was a member of the Souls 2008 ArenaBowl XXII championship team. That season, Brown recorded 38 tackles, five interceptions, and two fumble recoveries, along with 60 returns for 1,105 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games.

Brown played three seasons for Philadelphia, from 2006 to 2008. During that span he had 89 receptions for 1,054 yards and 13 touchdowns and 103 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Brown also played for the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz in 2010 and the Orlando Predators in 2004-05.
