Temple's matchup against No. 11 Notre Dame on Oct. 31 at Lincoln Financial Field has been selected as ABC's Saturday Night Football Game and will kick off at 8 p.m.
It is the first time that an American Athletic Conference team has been selected as ABC's Saturday Football Game and it is the first primetime full national telecast for the conference.
"This is tremendous exposure for our Temple Football program and it is well-deserved recognition for the job Matt Rhule has done with this team," Temple University Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft said. "We look forward to having the rest of the country see Temple Football play against an elite program like Notre Dame on a national stage."
After their 30-16 win over UCF on Saturday, the Owls (6-0, 3-0) were rewarded by being ranked No. 22 in the AP poll. It is the first time Temple has been ranked since 1979. Temple's six wins to open the season are tied for most in its program history.
The Irish (6-1) are fresh off a 41-31 win against USC and will be on a bye this week.
The Owls will travel to East Carolina for a tough road game on Thursday.
