Temple guard Quenton DeCosey on Tuesday was named to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team as one of two unanimous selections. The other was SMU's Nic Moore.
DeCosey is the Owls' leading scorer at 15.7 points per game, which is also fourth in the American. He ranks second on the team in rebounding at 5.9 per game, assists with 2.6 per game and steals with 1.2 per game. He's scored double-digits in 27 of TU's 30 games.
The senior, whose 1,459 points are tied for 22nd on Temple's all-time scoring list, has scored 15 or more points in 15 games this season, with the Owls winning 14 of those games.
With three more rebounds, DeCosey will reach 500 for his career. He's a career 35.6 percent shoot from three-point range, shooting 38.8 percent in his final season at Temple.
The Owls, who won the American regular-season title outright, is the No. 1 seed and has a first-round bye in the AAC Tournament, which begins Thursday. Temple will face the winner of South Florida-East Carolina on Friday at 12 p.m.
DeCosey and Moore are joined by Cincinnati's Troy Caupain, Memphis' Shaq Goodwin and Tulsa's James Woodard.
