The much hyped "War at the Shore" took place on Saturday night as NBC 10 newsman Vai Sikahema knocked out former MLB juicer Jose Canseco in the first round. Vai simply swarmed Jose from the opening bell and the much bigger Canseco never stood a chance. The former Eagles return man represented Philly well and gave hope to Napoleonic types everywhere.
"Don't ever think that your size is going to matter because in Philadelphia, we will chop you down!"
Vai says he knew this fight would be over from the moment he saw Jose at the weigh in.

Video of Vai as a guest on NBC 10's Sports Final last night chatting with Howard Eskin and John Clark about how big of a chump Jose is... after the jump.
NBC 10 decided that Vai's pugilistic achievement was so impressive that it deserved it's own song. At about the 2:50 mark of this clip, Skip Denenberg busts into the Vai Sikahema blues. I mean, clearly Vai deserves his own parade, right? Obviously.
Good move on Vai's part for donating all of his proceeds to the family of the fallen Philadelphia police officer, Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski. Nice guy that Vai.
