Villanova's climb continues.

The Wildcats on Monday moved up two more spots in the AP poll from No. 6 to No. 4, their highest ranking of the season.

Jay Wright's team went 2-0 last week, defeating Marquette, 83-68, Wednesday before surviving a brief scare versus Georgetown in a 55-50 win Saturday.

Villanova enters this week 16-2 overall and a perfect 6-0 in Big East play.

The Wildcats only two losses this season were to Oklahoma and Virginia. Oklahoma is currently the top team in the country; Virginia is No. 13.

Oklahoma didn't just move to first in the AP poll this week, however. The Sooners were a unanimous No. 1 after receiving all 65 first-place votes from the national media panel Monday.

Other teams to be ranked No. 1 this season include North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan State and Kansas.

Villanova has two tough games this week. The Wildcats play at Seton Hall (13-4, 3-2 Big East) on Wednesday night and host No. 16 Providence (15-3, 3-2) Saturday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center.
