Villanova junior Josh Hart on Sunday was named a unanimous selection to the 2015-16 All-Big East First Team.
Teammates Ryan Arcidiacono, Daniel Ochefu and Jalen Brunson also received conference honors. Arcidiacono was named to the Second Team, Ochefu was tabbed with an honorable mention and Brunson was a unanimous pick for the All-Freshman Team.
Hart, who has been part of Villanova's three straight regular-season Big East crowns, is a big reason why the No. 3 Wildcats finished with a 27-4 record and 16-2 mark in conference. He leads the team in scoring with 15.3 points per game and is also grabbing 7.2 rebounds while playing some top-notch defense.
Arcidiacono, the team's leader for the past four seasons, shared Big East Player of the Year honors with Providence's Kris Dunn in 2014-15. This season, the 6-foot-3 senior guard is averaging 11.7 points and 4.5 assists and is shooting 81.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Ochefu, another senior, has put up 10.3 points and 8.1 boards per game for the Wildcats this season. The 6-foot-11 forward has also averaged 1.6 blocks and 1.5 assists.
Brunson, in his first season at Villanova, has averaged 10.5 points and 2.8 assists while serving as the team's starting point guard.
The conference will announce Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year on Wednesday when the Big East Tournament opens at Madison Square Garden.
