So you're telling me there's a chance???!?
That's all Philadelphia sports fans are looking for going into a season: a realistic chance that their team could win a championship.
The Eagles are probably the only franchise in town you could say that about these days. But are those chances significant?
According to PredictionMachine.com, a site that runs simulations of the 2015 NFL season 50,000 times, the Eagles Super Bowl win percentage is 5.1%.
That's roughly 6% less than the Eagles doctors think the chances of Sam Bradford blowing out his knee again. Ugh.
Other predictions by the machines:
Probability Eagles make the playoffs: 57.5%
NFL
They like the Eagles offense to rank 5th in the League while the defense will rank a paltry 25th.
Division Standings: 1. Eagles, 2. Dallas Cowboys, 3. New York Giants, 4. Washington Redskins.
Also, the Green Bay Packers bring the Lombardi trophy home a League-high 17.1% of the time.
No need to even watch the 2015 season, Eagles fans, because a computer says you're going to be miserable 95% of the time anyway.
That actually seems low.
