Dallas Goedert shares his favorite episode of The Office

Each week during the season, we’re going through the Eagles’ media guide and finding an interesting nugget.

This week, we chatted with rookie tight end Dallas Goedert.

The media guide says his favorite TV show is The Office.

Me: It says your favorite TV show is The Office. Is that true?

Goedert: Yup.

Me: OK, so what’s your favorite episode? Do you have a favorite episode?

Goedert: Man, my favorite episode … that’s tough. But probably when Jim and Pam get married or at the very end when Dwight gets married.

Me: Oh, when Michael comes back.

Goedert: When Michael comes back. It’s just kind of a classic episode. It just kind of wraps up the whole thing. They did a really good job.

Me: Who’s your — do you have a favorite character?

Goedert: It’s probably gotta be a mixture of Dwight and Jim, just the pranks they pull on each other and they kind of play off each other really well.

Me: Favorite prank?

Goedert: Favorite prank is when Jim, I guess they hire that Asian guy to come in and pretend he was Jim. I liked that one.

Me: Yeah, that’s a good one. Doesn’t he — there’s like a phone call or something right? I forget what happens.

Goedert: Yeah, he answers a phone call … or … he’s checking his voicemail and he can’t do that because it’s not Jim, but then they have the pictures and all of it set up. They did a pretty good job.

Me: My favorite moment is, and I don’t remember what episode it’s in, but there’s a bat flying around …

Goedert: Oh yeah, that’s when Meredith got rabies or whatever. Yeah, animal control or something. That one was pretty good too. That show is just dry humor, you can just kind of watch it and not really care. You can just laugh and there’s just different stuff all the time.

Me: I’ll find myself on Netflix and I’ll have an opportunity to watch something different and I’m like, ‘I’ll just watch it again.’

Goedert: That’s the same with me. I’ve watched it like three or four times. It’s like, I could probably start something new, but then I have to pay attention. So let’s just put this on. It’s always good.

Me: I hear ya. Thanks, man. I appreciate it.

Goedert: No problem.
