DeSean Jackson broke his finger at practice on Tuesday, an injury the Eagles do not consider serious, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark confirmed the report.
There was, however, one conflicting report.
Once training camp is finished, practice is closed to the media other than warm-up drills, so nobody in the media saw what happened.
The Eagles don’t expect Jackson to miss any time, Rapoport tweeted. D-Jack isn’t scheduled to play in the preseason finale against the Jets Thursday night. The regular-season opener is a week from Sunday against the Redskins at the Linc.
Jackson, originally the Eagles’ second-round pick in 2008, returned to the Eagles this year after five years with the Redskins and Buccaneers.

Jackson, who turns 33 in December, signed a three-year, $28 million contract to return to the Eagles, a deal that includes $15 million guaranteed.
The speedy Jackson has enjoyed a very good training camp and a terrific comfort level with Carson Wentz.
One of the big questions regarding Jackson is his ability to stay healthy. He’s missed 23 games in his career, which isn’t a huge number over 11 NFL seasons. He’s only played 16 games twice — in 2008 and 2013, his first and last seasons during his first stint with the Eagles.
Jackson has 589 catches for 10,261 yards and 53 touchdowns in his career, and his 17.4 career average is highest in the NFL over the last 35 years.
If Jackson were unable to play, rookie second-round pick JJ Arcega-Whiteside would be the next receiver up. Arcega-Whiteside has been very good this summer and has 12 catches for 147 yards and a TD so far in the preseason games.
The Eagles had no comment on the report.
