Eagles cornerback Cre'Von LeBlanc's injury potentially serious

The biggest injury news Saturday involved cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc, who may be facing a significant layoff.

Cre'Von LeBlanc
LeBlanc apparently initially got hurt on Thursday, although he appeared healthy after practice in the locker room and didn't mention getting hurt when he spoke to reporters. But he didn’t practice on Friday or Saturday, and on Saturday reporters heading to the locker room after practice saw him in the hallway in a walking boot and on a Roll-a-Bout scooter. There has been no word from the Eagles on the nature or severity of the injury, but a Roll-a-Bout is never a good sign. Doug Pederson is scheduled to meet with the media on Monday, and that is likely the first chance we’ll get to receive additional information on LeBlanc, who played so well down the stretch last year.

Blake Countess
Countess, an Eagles sixth-round pick in 2016 who spent the last three years with the Rams, missed a second straight day. Countess practiced on Thursday but hasn’t done so since, although he’s been out both days early working with a trainer on a side field. Countess could still be coming back slowly from a foot injury that hampered him late last year in Los Angeles.

Boston Scott
The 5-foot-6 Scott, who joined the Eagles late last year, left the field early after a huge hit from linebacker Alex Singleton, a free agent who’s spent time with the Seahawks, Patriots and Vikings over the last several years. But Scott actually returned to practice after being checked out, which the coaches will certainly appreciate. Scott said after practice he’s fine.
