On a short week, the Eagles have ruled out the following five players for Thursday night’s game against the Giants:
Darren Sproles (hamstring)
Haloti Ngata (calf)
Nate Gerry (ankle/knee)
Corey Graham (hamstring)
D.J. Alexander (quad)
Without Sproles, the Eagles will rely on Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood and Josh Adams. Doug Pederson said Clement is “100 percent,” so the Eagles will get him back for this game after he missed a couple.

They’ll also get Derek Barnett (shoulder) back. Barnett missed the last game but was a full participant in practice Tuesday and Wednesday and will play against the Giants.
Without Ngata, expect Destiny Vaeao to start. Without Graham, the Eagles are again light at safety. We’ll see Avonte Maddox start again, but look for Rasul Douglas to get on the field in dime situations.
Without Gerry and Alexander, the Eagles are without two key special teams players. That’s something to watch.
Lane Johnson (ankle) and Sidney Jones (ankle) were a little banged up this week but will be good to go on Thursday night. Jason Peters (quad) will again start, but he’s been forced to miss plays here and there; another thing to watch in the game.
For the Giants, tight end Evan Engram (knee) has been ruled out for the game.
