Despite feeling “great” running on Thursday, Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks was not practicing on Friday.
For the third straight day, Kendricks was on the field without a helmet and working with trainers on the side.
“I ran really good today,” Kendricks said on Thursday. “I ran really well today. Like today was the day that I opened up and I felt good. I hit like 17½ miles per hour. So that’s like more than what I do during a normal day of practice and that’s like straight line, so that’s pretty good.
“Today I actually considered practicing [Friday], but we’ll see.”
Kendricks injured his hamstring against the Cowboys in Week 2. He missed the Jets game before returning against Washington but left that game early, after 11 snaps. He was out last week against the Saints.
Earlier in the week, defensive coordinator Bill Davis said Kendricks was “day-to-day.”
Joining Kendricks among the non-practicing players on Friday were Nelson Agholor (leg), Brandon Bair (quad) and Kiko Alonso (knee). Running back Ryan Mathews popped up on the injury report on Friday. He was limited with a groin injury.

Agholor hurt his lower left leg in the win over the Saints on Sunday in the first half and didn’t return. After the game he said he thought the injury wasn’t very serious but he hasn’t practiced this week.
In fact, all four players have missed each practice this week.
Because of the Monday night game, the Eagles started practice on Wednesday this week instead of Tuesday. They won’t have to release game statuses (probable, questionable, doubtful) until Saturday.
Meanwhile, for the Giants, Odell Beckham Jr. wasn’t practicing on Friday but Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is convinced he is going to play.
“Our approach is he’s playing,” Kelly said. “We’ll see [No.] 13 on Monday night. Very competitive player. Know him very well. He’s going to play against us.”
