It's beginning to look a lot like … Buffalo.
The Eagles on Wednesday evening announced a three-year deal with former Bills cornerback Ron Brooks. The deal is worth $5.55 million, with $1.55 million guaranteed.
Take a wild guess who his defensive coordinator was in 2014. Go ahead, guess.
Yup. Jim Schwartz.
After Nigel Bradham and Leodis McKelvin, Brooks is the third player the Eagles have brought in this offseason who played under Schwartz in Buffalo in 2014.
Schwartz, whose last coaching job was as the Bills' defensive coordinator in '14, will be handed the keys to the defense under first-year head coach Doug Pederson. And it's pretty apparent the Eagles are giving him a huge say in which players they bring in during the offseason.
As for Brooks, he's a 27-year-old, former fourth-round pick. The Bills took him in the 2012 draft out of LSU. During his four years in Buffalo, Brooks was mainly a special teams player. He played just 13 percent of the team's defensive snaps in 2014 under Schwartz.

During his four years in the league, Brooks has started just three games and has seven passes defensed. He doesn't yet have a professional interception. He's likely going to be a depth guy and special teamer in Philadelphia.
Still, he's one of Schwartz's guys, which means he's now an Eagle.
