BOCA RATON, Fla. — The Eagles' receiver room just got deeper.
On Wednesday, the team reached a one-year contract with free agent Rueben Randle, who spent his previous four years in the NFL with the New York Giants.
According to Randle's agent, Vincent Taylor of Elite Loyalty, the deal has the potential to be worth up to $3.025 million, with $500,000 fully guaranteed.
Randle, 24, adds some experience to a young and unproven group of wideouts in the organization.
Earlier on Wednesday at the NFL owners' meetings, head coach Doug Pederson talked about moving Jordan Matthews outside from the slot, but we'll have to see what this signing does to that plan.
For now, the Eagles' receiving corps might not be great, but it is deep with Matthews, Randle, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff and Chris Givens.
While Randle was at times somewhat of a disappointment for the Giants, he still put up pretty good numbers last year, catching 57 passes for 797 yards and eight touchdowns after suffering a knee injury in the preseason.

Randle's best season came in 2014, when he had 71 catches for 938 yards and three touchdowns.
