The Eagles got the gang all back together.
No, it wasn't on the field. Instead, it was to support former Eagles offensive lineman Todd Herremans at a dinner for his Hoops for Help charity Thursday night at a North Philadelphia restaurant.
After Chip Kelly's roster shakeup this offseason, players that were teammates just weeks ago are now adjusting to life with different organizations.
"It's been a new experience for me. I've never been through anything like it before," Herremans, who was released by the Eagles last month, said. "A whirlwind of emotions if you're going through something like that. You understand it's part of the game and that it's going to happen to everybody eventually."
Jeremy Maclin had to come to grips with that reality after leaving the Birds in free agency to reunite with Andy Reid in Kansas City.
The Eagles and Chiefs were both in the running for Maclin's services until the receiver opted for a return to his home state to play.
There was a time when the wide receiver couldn't even envision suiting up in something other than midnight green or the Eagles breaking up their talented core, particularly on offense.

"If you would have told me that two years ago that, that would be the case, I would have laughed," Maclin said. "But this is a business, man. Things like that happen."
Another longtime Eagle hit the free-agent market this offseason: Trent Cole.
Cole was also released by Kelly and — like Herremans — also signed with the Colts.
How was going through free agency for the first time?
"Being wanted again was something," Cole said. "Free agency was really new to me — a whole new experience for me. It was kind of weird being wanted again."
For one more night, these former Eagles were teammates again.
And once more, Herremans, Maclin and … LeSean McCoy lined up in the same formation again. Plus, former center and Comcast SportsNet Eagles Extra analyst, Jamaal Jackson, managed to sneak in there too.
