Former Eagle Mychal Kendricks will be allowed to play again this year

Mychal Kendricks’ suspension now has an end date.

Kendricks was suspended indefinitely earlier this month as he awaits his fate for insider trading, but according to ProFootballTalk Tuesday, Kendricks’ suspension is now eight games.

He has already missed three games that will count toward the suspension.

The former Eagles linebacker, who is now with the Seahawks, will be eligible to return on Dec. 10 when Seattle hosts the Vikings and his brother Eric.

According to PFT, Kendricks will be allowed to return to the Seahawks' facility for meetings and practices.

I guess it took this long for the NFL to figure out what the punishment should be for this type of white-collar crime. This is now the precedent.

Before the suspension, Kendricks played three games and started two for the Seahawks. He had 13 tackles and two sacks.

The Eagles released Kendricks this past offseason. He signed with the Browns, who cut him after the news of the insider trading broke. They claimed they knew about an investigation but didn’t know all the details.

Eagles de facto GM Howie Roseman declined to comment on Kendricks before the start of the season.
