Have you ever been to a wedding in Philadelphia on a Sunday during football season? If you have, chances are it was during a bye week. That’s because Eagles fans take their games and the passion for their favorite team very seriously.
When it comes time to planning that special day when you’re getting married, crazy location venues tend to be thrown into the mix. Popular destination weddings could be at Disney World, on an island, somewhere in the mountains — or even a sports arena.
For the front line workers and couples who lost the chance to celebrate their special day due to COVID-19, your dreams of tying the knot at Lincoln Financial Field could become a reality.
According to a report from Fox 29, through the end of March 2021, the Linc's $30,000 site fees are being waived for wedding ceremonies. While the location fees are not something to worry about, a package will need to be purchased for you to qualify and catering is not included — though it is now being offered at a reduced rate.
Of course, there is limited availability and this all depends on when the city of Philadelphia gets the green light and is able to hold larger gatherings once more.
According to the report, here are the possible packages and locations within the Linc where celebrations can take place:
Touchdown Club — up to 125 guests for $65 per person
Hyundai Club — 125 to 150 guests for $70 per person; 151-300 guests for $50 per person
Tork Club — 200 to 299 guests for $70 per person — 300 or more for 50$ per person
NFL
Typically, these venues would average $20-$35 more per person.
If you fit the criteria and want to have the coolest wedding your friends and family have ever been to, visit Lincoln Financial Field’s website for more information.
