Inside Nick Foles' incognito Center City dinner after the 2018 NFC Championship Game

After winning the Eagles their first-ever Super Bowl in 2018, Nick Foles will never need to pay for a drink or meal in Philadelphia for the rest of his life.

But apparently after he led the Birds to their enormous 38-7 NFC title game win over the Vikings that winter, Foles managed to grab a bite and a beverage in Center City.

As in, right after the game. You might've been there.

Foles told the story of his sneaky, in-disguise dinner mission on a recent episode of his new Mission of Truth podcast with fellow former Eagle Chris Maragos.

The quarterback managed to weave his way through a city filled street to street with rabid Eagles fans going nuts - about his accomplishments! - unrecognized. That's no small feat.

Foles tells the story in his own words here:

This line in particular stuck out to me as particularly surreal:

"I'm walking right next to people wearing my jerseys after we just won the NFC Championship Game."

I can't imagine many football players, if any, have experienced that kind of moment. You're the biggest name in the entire city, on the cusp of greatness, and you're walking down a side street completely unrecognized. Insanity.

For those who don't know, Del Frisco's has an enormous bank vault for private dining in its basement, which I would assume is where Foles headed:

It feels like every part of that Super Bowl run was too incredible to be true, except it all actually happened.

What a life.
