Lane Johnson, Jason Peters aggravate injuries in Eagles' loss

LANDOVER, Md. — All-Pro left tackle Jason Peters was one of several Eagles to aggravate an injury in the Week 4 loss to the Redskins (see Instant Replay). He exited early in the second quarter with the quad injury he suffered in Week 3 against the Jets and did not return.

But Peters said after the game that he's OK.

"Nothing long-term," Peters said. "I hurt myself last game, three minutes left, and I just aggravated it. I didn't want to be out there limping around, so I just took myself out to not hurt the team."

Peters admitted he was feeling some pain entering the game but wanted to try to play through it.

The Eagles' other tackle, RT Lane Johnson, said after the game that he fears he re-sprained his MCL and will undergo an MRI. Johnson appeared to suffer the injury blocking on an extra point Sunday. He initially sprained his MCL blocking for Tim Tebow on a two-point conversion in the Eagles' third preseason game in Green Bay.

Chip Kelly had no updates on the other Eagles injured at FedEx Field (see 10 observations). Inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks aggravated a hamstring injury and left after the first drive. Cornerback Byron Maxwell hurt his quad on that first series. Neither returned.

Defensive end Brandon Bair, who was starting in place of the injured Cedric Thornton, also left early with a groin injury and did not return.

Sam Bradford had his right ankle taped in the second half but didn't miss a play.
