Peters, Kendricks, Maxwell all exit with injuries

LANDOVER, Md. -- Within the first 17 minutes of game time between the Eagles and Redskins, starting left tackle Jason Peters and inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks both aggravated the injuries that landed them on the injury report this week.

Peters suffered a quad injury in Week 3 against the Jets and aggravated it Sunday, leaving the game early in the second quarter. The Eagles shifted Matt Tobin from right guard to left tackle and inserted Dennis Kelly at RG. Tobin had been playing right guard in place of Andrew Gardner, who was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week.

Kendricks practiced all week for the Eagles and both he and the team were encouraged by his progress coming back from the hamstring injury. He was injured during the Eagles' first defensive series. He also dealt with a hamstring strain during the preseason.

Cornerback Byron Maxwell also left the game after that first series with a quad injury.

Defensive end Brandon Bair, starting in place of Cedric Thornton (hand), was also injured in the first quarter and ruled out for the game with a groin injury.
