The Eagles have an incredibly important decision to make at quarterback this offseason and NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth thinks he knows what they’re gonna do.
Here’s what Collinsworth told NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark about the Eagles’ upcoming decision:
“And the question is can Carson (Wentz) get back to where he was when he was in that MVP run. And I think that, in talking to Doug, I think that’s job 1 for him this offseason is to recreate the offense around what Carson Wentz does well and maybe, you know, rein him in here a little bit. Let’s get back to what you were doing when everything was working out so great. And find a role for Jalen Hurts.”

It seems pretty clear at this point that Doug Pederson is going to return for the 2021 season, so can the Eagles really look at the 12 games with Pederson and Wentz this season and think Pederson is the guy to fix Wentz? Hard to believe.
But Collinsworth says he expects that to happen.
NFL
NFL broadcast teams meet with head coaches before calling their games, which means Collinsworth would have spoken with Pederson this week.
“Everything I have heard so far is that they believe Carson Wentz is fixable. And Jalen Hurts is the guy who is going to be the other quarterback. There’s no way to not have two really legitimate quarterbacks. We’ve seen quarterbacks, Taysom Hill in New Orleans, where you have a complementary role, defenses have to get ready for two guys.”
