There are no Eagles on the 2020 NFL all-pro first team, announced by the Associated Press on Thursday. It’s the first time since 2016 the Eagles haven’t had a 1st-team all-pro.
Jason Kelce or Fletcher Cox were the Eagles’ only all-pro hopes this year.
Both made the NFC Pro Bowl team, as did Brandon Graham, but the all-pro team is the highest single-season honor any player can achieve because it honors the best player in the league at each position regardless of conference. The all-pro team is also important to the Pro Football Hall of Fame voters.

Kelce received two all-pro votes. Graham and long snapper Rick Lovato each received one.
Kelce made the all-pro first team in each of the last three years, so this is the first time he’s missed it since 2016. Cox made his only all-pro team in 2018.
Kelce and Brandon Graham were the only Eagles to start every game this year, and Kelce was the only offensive player to start more than 12 games. He’s started 111 consecutive games, the longest active streak among NFL centers.
Cox had 6 1/2 sacks and increased his career total to 54 1/2, 7th-most among defensive tackles since he came into the league in 2012.

Over the last seven years, all the Eagles’ all-pros have been linemen - Kelce three times and Cox, Lane Johnson and Even Mathis once each. LeSean McCoy, an all-pro in 2011 and 2013, is the last Eagles skill position player named first-team all-pro.
The AP has been picking an NFL all-pro team since 1940. The team is selected by a panel of NFL writers from each NFL city.
Here’s a look at all the Eagles in franchise history with multiple first-team all-pro selections:
6 … Chuck Bednarik, Reggie White
5 … Pete Pihos, Steve Van Buren
4 … Brian Dawkins, Al Wistert
3 … Keith Jackson, Jason Kelce
